WEDNESDAY
AGENCY: RIZER GLOBAL
Rizer Global engaged us as the Greens Department for the Australian launch of Wednesday Season 2. Working closely with Rizer’s creative team and the Art Department, we supplied and styled greenery, blending custom pieces with items from our inventory. Cockatoo Island provided the ideal setting, but as a UNESCO World Heritage site, every detail required careful planning and execution.
The Nevermore Graveyard, a hero feature of the event, demanded realism and authentic detailing. We installed real trees, secured with specialist hardware and weighted bases for safety, and custom gravestones, set on decomposed granite bases, were complemented by mulch, grasses, Spanish moss, and a mix of real and silk vines for a haunting finish.
Beyond the graveyard, the Outcast Stage delivered a wild, untamed vibe with rugged rock formations, dark foliage, and stumps. After Thursday’s main event, we dismantled and rebuilt the entire setup on the Main Stage for the next activation within a tight turnaround.
The Zombie Piano, styled to resemble a decaying instrument, featured scattered leaves and wilted flowers resting on the keys. Red accents from roses and silk poppies, entwined with twisting vines, completed the eerie tableau under a flickering spotlight.
Finally, the Alchemy Lab showcased lush greenery, including Monstera, Dracaena, and Alocasia, layered with silk bat flowers and trailing vines. Together, these zones transformed Cockatoo Island into an immersive world that captured the dark elegance of Wednesday.
